FRAUDSTER IN COURT FOR MUNICIPALITY TENDER FRAUD
MPUMALANGA – A 25 years old suspect is expected to appear before the Hendrina Periodical Court on Wednesday, 12 May 2021. This follows his arrest by members of the Hawks Serious Commercial Crime Investigation in Secunda on Monday 10 May 2021 for fraud.

It is alleged that in October 2020, the suspect defrauded the complainant R350 000.00 by promising her that she will get a tender of delivering food at Witbank area for municipality. The suspect demanded R350 000 from the victim which was paid into a number of bank accounts. After the victim paid the money the suspect disappeared.
The matter was reported to the Hawks in October 2020 and investigation led to the arrest of the suspect at Kabokweni on Monday.
