SAVF SECUNDA CHILD AND YOUTH CARE CENTRE – WHEN A COMMUNITY UNITES THEN DREAMS COME TRUE!
On Monday evening, 24 October 2022 the Secunda community united to celebrate the opening of the fifth SAVF Child and Youth Care Centre in South Africa with the opening of the SAVF Secunda Child and Youth Care Centre. SAVF staff and community members worked together to realise this dream – A home for children in need of care and protection. This new child and youth care centre will make an immense difference in many children’s lives.
Regional Manager, Mari Louw expressed her sincere appreciation to every volunteer, staff member, community member, partner and sponsor who contributed to realising this long-term dream. Not only was the evening blessed by the welcoming rain, but the facility was blessed with an amount of R73 600 that was raised during a pre-opening fundraiser and the donation of a generator by the Roundtable members that will ensure that there will always be light in this house.
The SAVF Secunda CYCC logo symbolises what this facility will offer:
- A roof over children’s heads to keep danger away.
- Walls to protect them.
- Cornerstones of faith to prepare them for the future.
- The heart symbolises warmth and belonging for every child that enters this home.
SAVF logo symbolises stability as SAVF celebrated 118th year of existence on the 19th of October 2022. SAVF Secunda CYCC will become part of this rich SAVF history, vision and mission.
SAVF Secunda CYCC invites the public to be involved with the future maintenance and development of this facility, which will change many lives. Become a volunteer of the SAVF Secunda CYCC and change the lives of children.
