A shocking discovery as the community from Azania Gate 8 eMbalenhle, near the Old Mine informal settlements, discovered the body of a newborn baby.
The discovery was made on Thursday October 8
The circumstances around the discovery are still unknown. According to a passer-by, he saw dogs busy near the river (Welas).
As he approached the area the dogs ran away. He was shocked to see what appeared to be the head of a small baby.

Police and all emergency personnel were summoned to the scene and medical rescue confirmed that those were the remains of the baby.
No further information available police are still investigating.
