Eduvacs facilitated the first Domestic Cleaner Training course to 12 well deserved ladies in Evander as part of their Social Corporate Investment.
This course was facilitated over two days.
Phase 1, day 1 the following subjects were covered: Legislation, duties of the employer, duties of the employee, communication, respect and personal hygiene.
Day 2 they covered, cleaning the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room, doing the laundry and a house cleaning checklist.
The general feeling after the assessment was that the course gave them a purpose and they felt empowered and are ready to further their studies with Eduvacs.
The owners, Mark and Vanesa February, would like to thank the facilitator, David Mahlangu, for doing a sterling job with the training and Gert Sibande TVET College – Centre for Entrepreneurship Rapid Incubator for making their facility available.
Phase 2 will include: Introduction to First-aid, basic firefighting principles, safety and security at home, emergency procedures and basic electrical awareness that will be facilitated shortly.
