GMM – Enpower Machite is warning customers to be wary of imposters requesting money from customers to be removed from a municipal disconnection list.
Enpower Machite recently received information from a newly converted customer that someone has called posing as an employee of the Municipality indicating that they are due for disconnection as a result of not purchasing electricity. This impostor subsequently requested that the customer deposit money into their bank account to be removed from the disconnection list. This is a scam to rob customers of their money.
Please note that all customers converted to Smart Prepayment will not be disconnected for not having purchased electricity until now. Furthermore, Enpower Machite will never request customers to deposit money for removal from a disconnection list.
