North Eastern Provinces (NEP) has the honour to present the PSSA National Congress in 2019

The venue for the Congress will be Floreat Riverside Lodge and it will be held from 22 September to 27 September.

The Congress will take place in Sabie – a small country town nestled in the majestic Drakensberg escarpment mountains of the Mpumalanga province, South Africa.
Sabie is less than four hours’ drive from Gauteng and the OR Tambo International Airport, a relaxing hour’s drive to & from the Kruger National Park, and within minutes from a number of spectacular waterfalls in pristine mountain streams.
The venue for the Congress will be Floreat Riverside Lodge and it will be held from 22 September to 27 September.
Floreat Riverside Lodge is a great centre point from which to explore the Panoramic Route, with accommodation for those who want to stay in luxury or those humble travel junkies just sleeping over to explore the area.
We have invited some of South Africa’s most talented and exciting speakers to be part of the Congress.
    They are:
Sarel and Maryna van Staden: Sarel van Staden has been a professional photographer for more than two decades and has been winning awards for as many years. Like most photographers, his career started as a wedding and event photographer, but his love for creative lighting techniques resulted in a shift to commercial photography and more specifically automotive photography.
Martin Barber: Martin has worked for many years with adobe products such as Bridge, Lightroom and Photoshop.
He now lectures and presents classes in photo editing techniques; all the way up to high end editing in Photoshop.
Martin enjoys all aspects of photography and see himself as a creative photographer and enjoys fine art, portraiture, altered reality, composite, and monochrome.
Kim Wolhuter: The mind and face of documentaries like Man, Cheetah, Wild on the Discovery Channel.
Christiaan Kotze: Christiaan is an International award-winning photojournalist. He specialises in Sport. Christiaan has covered Olympic games, Rugby world cups, Cricket world cups, the Soccer world cup and numerous other high-profile sporting events.
He also does commercial theatre production photography, nature and wild life photography.
He does talks and seminars on especially Sport photography
Christiaan has the interest of young photographers at heart and frequently share his 25 years working experience with up and coming photographers.
Obie Oberholzer: Petrus Cornelius Jacobus “Obie” Oberholzer is a South African photographer. Obie was born on a small farm outside Pretoria, South Africa. He studied graphic design at Stellenbosch University in the late
1960s, and photography at the Bavarian State Institute of Photography in Munich, Germany in the early 1970s.
Obie Oberholzer is one of South Africa’s most renowned photographers.
Willem Oets: Willem was introduced to photography as a creative medium in 1991. He became known for his landscape and abstract work before venturing into his present, very personal genre of photography. He explores the sensuality of natural light and captures a fragile and delicate emotion in his pictures. He is the visual observer and responds to gesture and expression.
Paul Bruins: His interest in photography was sparked at an early age while completing a school project of building a pin-hole camera and developing and printing the results in a homemade darkroom. From then on, photography has remained an integral part of his life. Despite qualifying as a civil engineer, his passion for this creative art has meant he is seldom without his camera and his love for nature and the outdoors has cumulated in his extensive skills as an architectural and fine-art landscape photographer.
They will give lectures in the morning and in the evening, we will have exciting workshops that will cater for every photographers needs!
From the most scenic waterfalls and landscapes in the world, next to the Kruger National Park, there is a place for every photographer to fall in love with.
You are guaranteed for a photographic experience of a life time!
You are all invited to join us for an experience never to be forgotten.
