    SSS Security saves the day

They drove with the police to their house to prove their story, this failed.

Two suspects were apprehended by SSS Security in Nelson Mandela drive opposite Five-Star Spar when they were trying to sell a laptop to taxi drivers. A call came through to Secunda Sector Policing about two young males aged 27 and 30 who had stolen a bag with a laptop and other belongings inside. It is alleged that they stole the laptop from someone in the early hours of Monday, 25 March. When Vince from SSS Security asked them where they obtained those goods, they failed to give any correct information and that was when the police were called. Upon arrival, they asked them to show proof that the goods belonged to them. They told the police that the bag with everything in it belongs to them. They drove with the police to their house to prove their story, this failed. They were then charged with a case of Stock Theft by Secunda police. It is reported that cases of theft are on the rise in Secunda and surrounding areas and the community is urged to be vigilant at all times especially when travelling on the street at night or early hours of the day. The community is also advised to keep their houses locked at all times. – Sandile Mkhwanazi
