Panda’s Cue Sports hosts Mpumalanga youth trials

During the end of 2018 Panda’s Cue Sports hosted the Chinese 8 Ball Championships at Graceland. During this National Championships, teams from all over South Africa competed.

Panda’s Cue Sports hosted the annual Mpumalanga Blackball trials. The trials were played in the following categories: U/14, U/18 and Women’s trials.
Trials started on Saturday morning with the U/14 and U/18 boys competing first.
The competition was fierce as everyone wanted to be selected for provincial colours.
Most of the boys hailed from the Highveld area. The competitors from the Lowveld unfortunately encountered transport problems and did not compete.
JJ le Roux was chosen as the U/14 coach and Peter Nwaila as the U/18 coach.
The women’s trials were played on Sunday and women from all over the province competed. 10 Women entered the trials and 5 were selected to represent Mpumalanga at the SACCS National Championships to be held in Empangeni during March.
Panda’s Cue Sports is currently the largest cue sports club in Mpumalanga and regularly hosts trials and competitions.
During the end of 2018 Panda’s Cue Sports hosted the Chinese 8 Ball Championships at Graceland. During this National Championships, teams from all over South Africa competed.
A total of 24 teams competed and approximately 90 players took part. This National Championship was live streamed on the internet to the whole of South Africa with viewers even in China.
The next weekend Panda’s Cue Sports will host Mpumalanga Premier League trials to participate in the 2019 Premier League season.
This weekend will see the first of several mini qualifiers played at Panda’s Cue Sports in the 500k Black Ball tournament. Only one spot is available this weekend and anyone can enter. The winner of the mini qualifier will participate in the main event on 16 – 18 July at Time Out, Gauteng. Visit Panda’s Cue Sports for more info.
