On Thursday, 15 November, Santie Zietsman Day Care had their concert themed Walking in a Winter Wonderland. The children were very excited to perform and the parents and family members of the children present buzzed with excitement. The air was filled with joy and ubuntu. The evening was opened by Ms Christine Leaf with a beautiful message and a heartfelt welcome to all. After the opening, the concert was opened by CF Els dance studio performing a beautiful dance number. The concert kicked off with Teachers Maria and Janine’s class dancing on “Get ready to wiggle”. The girls were dressed beautifully in their yellow tutus and white shirts. Teacher Terri-Leigh and her class danced on “The sloth song” from the movie Ice Age and were smiling all the way from ear to ear. Teacher Veronica was up next with her class and “The juicy wiggle” definitely had the crowd entertained! “Do you want to build a snowman” from Frozen saw all the little girls in white dresses and pink scarves. Teacher Portia was not scared and showed the spectators that no matter what your age you can dance on “Watch me whip (nae nae)” and her class exuded enjoyment. The last dance was the penguin dance by Teacher Bella’s class. The evening was ended off on a high note and Principal Marjorie Kock thanked everyone who was present and enjoyed the show! –
