Hoërskool Oosterland presented a Business Unusual Event at NTT Nissan on Wednesday 17 October. NTT Nissan’s showroom was transformed into a big dining room. Three key-note speakers shared from their own experiences!
The first speaker was Melvin Jones, CEO PROCONICS, ‘’Motivating your employees.’’ Spoke about trustworthiness – as boss, as peer, as service provider. He gave ideas on how to get younger people committed and involved in the job… and how not to overload senior staff.
Second up was Jacques Basson, CEO Klipkouers & Vanbroc, discussed new trends on marketing and how measurable podcasts are. He persuaded businesses to invest in relationships and explained how content marketing can be useful in building your business.
Lastly, Jan Hendrik Oosthuizen, CEO Etiket, explained how his company developed an ‘incubator’ for training new young employees and how this company is getting sales from BEE initiatives.
On Thursday, 18 October, 150 Hoërskool Oosterland learners learned top tips from the same speakers. They filled the NTT Nissan showroom and were motivated to follow their dreams, search for their passion and know that success only comes with very hard work! As an added bonus, Mr Johan Rosslee shared his success story with them. At the end of the function, the learners had time to engage the different CEO’s and ask individual questions. Feedback from the event was extremely positive! This will be an event and learning opportunity that the Oosterland school will repeat! Next one will be in April 2019…
