With KZN dominating the 9 foot table for the 2nd year and Gauteng sending a stronger field to the National Championships, a great National tournament have been concluded for 2018.
Mpumalanga contributing more competitive athletes.
Former and current champions have battled it out over the 4 days. Well done to all the champions, especially David Anderson on his 5th 9 Ball title.
The South African 9 Ball title was played for the first time in 2000, 18 years later and Mr David Anderson does it again. Will one see the come-back of one of the greatest cue sport talents in SA over the past 20 years?
Will athletes like Wetsi Morake & Ishmael Mthethwa be participating more on the 9 foot table and follow the foot steps of Richard Halliday?
Head Referee Kobus Kirstein and his 2 assistants Jacques Muller and Lolita Kritzinger did tremendous work during the tournament.
Sharlene Erasmus and Sylvia Pieterse from Mpumalanga Cue Sport needs special mentioning on the capturing of live scores onto Cue Score.
Without the support structures no successfull tournament can be held.
