Sasol recently renewed their sponsorship of SA’s premier women’s football league until 2021. According to a press release, this initiative played an integral part in contributing to the growth and development of women’s football in South Africa.
“The Sasol League roadshow in Secunda was a major success and we are thankful for the support shown by football fans that came and supported women’s football. Women’s football is definitely on the rise and the Sasol League roadshow provides an invaluable platform for local coaches and players alike to learn and showcase their talent to the Sasol Banyana Banyana technical team and hopefully be noticed,” said Nozipho Mbatha – Sasol Group Brand Marketing Manager.
Local Sasol League coaches attended the Coaches Workshop on 27 October and partook in a knowledge sharing session where they discussed key aspects like tactical and technical awareness of players, conditioning, psycho/social development, skills development and preparation for matches.
