Nicolette Brooks School of Dancing recently held the gala-concert at the Johannes Stegmann Theatre and it was a huge success. It was called “Working 9 to 5, What a way to make a living”.
All the proceeds of the three concerts were donated to charity. Half were donated to Marietjie School and the other half were donated to Laerskool Trichardt to alleviate the need of some of the children in the hostels.
The curtain was raised to beautiful dancing by all that was involved. The concert depicted songs about work, as well as all the dances.
The school fielded 140 students from all ages in the show. The smallest dancer that danced was only 2 and a half years old and the oldest dancer is 65.
The school is known for its discipline and high standards and is very popular under the younger children.
