Ekasi News’ owner dies

Ozila Dlamini died on Saturday, 26 November.

Ozila Dlamni, the owner of Ekasi News, is one of five people who died in a car accident in Kriel on Saturday night (26 Novmeber).
Ozila was well-known business and entertainment figure in the area and will be fondly remembered for his flashy outfits, flamboyance and humour which usually placed him in the limelight.
He had a colourful and elaborated career path – from owning a hair salon in eMbalenhle to being part of the Radio Secunda team and finally started up his own print publication, Ekasi News.
Ozila and Oloff van Wyk, who was the manager of the radio station at the time, eventually became business partners in the publishing business until Oloff’s untimely death in July last year.
Ozila was a friend to all, immaterial of race, gender or social status.
This father of five was also a devoted family man.
His memorial service was held on Thursday, 1 December at the Sasol Club in eMbalenhle.
The funeral will be conducted in Hammersdale, in KwaZuluNatal on Saturday, 3 December.
