Sasol donated a new mobile classroom to the eMbalenhle Siyaqhakaza Day Care Centre on Friday, 29 July.
According to Alex Anderson, Sasol’s Head of Group Media Relations, the donation is a response to the centre’s request.
The centre needed an extra classroom to accommodate the Grade R children.
The donated mobile classroom is intended to provide a conducive learning room for the Grade R as well as to be used as a sick bay.
There are 53 children aged between one and six years old.
“Sasol is committed to support education across all levels,” said Alex.
“The early childhood development centres in communities around its operations are supported with infra-structure resources, reading books and educational toys with an aim to create a strong foundation in the early years of the young children’s lives that will positively shape their future for the benefit of all.”
